FS 2-99
  • A blend of improved alfalfa varieties
  • Long-term alfalfa that can be used for hay or pasture
  • Will perform well under a wide range of soil conditions
  • Excellent winterhardiness
 
FS 3-99
  • A blend of improved multi-leaf varieties
  • Excellent winterhardiness
  • Will perform will under a wide range of soil conditions; adapted for Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin
  • Should be planted in rotations of five years or less
  • Good levels of resistance to most diseases and insects
 
Tri-An Red Clover
  • Multiple-disease resistant, medium red clover
  • Resistant to Powdery Mildew and both Northern and Southern Anthracnose
  • Will usually stay down three years, rather than just two as expected of medium red clover
  • Can persist better in higher acid and shade conditions in a pasture mixture than alfalfa
  • Best performance on heavy soils with good moisture retention (pH 5.58 to 6.5)
  • Excellent source of nitrogen for grasses
 
Bro-Max Bromegrass
  • Improved seedling vigor
  • Easier stand-establishment
  • Good seedling blight resistance and high resistance to leaf diseases
  • Excellent winter-hardiness
  • Very drought and heat tolerant
  • Grows on a diversity of soil types (pH 5.8 to 6.4)
  • Expect high-quality forage with good management
  • Becomes 'sod bound' in absence of sufficient nitrogen
 
Mor-Leaf Orchardgrass
  • Good winter-hardiness
  • Excellent leaf-to-stem ratio
  • Good seedling vigor to establish quickly, alone or in pasture mixtures
  • Excellent palatability
  • Produces well under summer temperatures
  • Early maturity orchardgrass variety
 
Late-Leaf Orchardgrass
  • Late maturing with very good persistance and vigor
  • Excellent levels of Stem Rust resistance
  • Matches well with the bud stage cutting of alfalfa

Tetra-Rye Ryegrass
  • Vigorous early growth in a ryegrass
  • Average winter-hardiness
  • Excellent resistance to leaf diseases
  • High palatability
  • Excellent seedling vigor
  • Exceptionally high dry matter yield

High-Tex Timothy
  • Slightly later maturing and leafier than common Timothy
  • High yielding with good texture and more palatable hay than common Timothy
  • High yields start in first year
  • Excellent for short rotation pastures and first cutting hay yields
  • Perennial that performs well on a wide range of soils including clay and silt loams
  • Rapid stand extablishment (pH 5.4 to 6.2) and winter-hardy

  • Wide area of adaption
  • Low endophyte
  • Medium-ate maturity
  • Outstanding regrowth and color during summer for maximum grazing
    Excellent winter-hardiness

Greencow Sorghum Sudangrass
  • Very productive late-summer, sorghym-sudangrass hybrid
  • Can be utilized as hay, green chop, haylage or silage
  • Freely tilers and has numerous leaves
  • Slender, sweet, juicy stalks with crude protein at 12 to 19%
  • Excellent seedling vigor and drought tolerance
  • Excellent grazing for cattle, however, avoid horse grazing

Greencow II BMR Sorghum Sudangrass
  • Very productive summer sorghym-sudangrass hybrid
  • Brown mid-rib
  • Lower lignin levels provide for greater consumption
  • Excellent animal palatability

FS 21 Plowdown Mix
  • Selected for short-term pasture
  • Use for a green manure plow-down
  • Well-suited for widely varying soil types

FS 24 Pasture & Hay Mix
  • Our first choice for hay or pasture. Best suited for alfalfa
  • Selected species of forage varieties designed to provide ideal feed for lactating dairy cows and heifers
  • Use whenever a high-quality mix is needed
  • May be used in widely varying soils and climactic conditions 

FS 25 Standard Hay Mix
  • Our first choice for hay or pasture that is best suited for Red Clover
  • Selected species of forage varieties designed to provide good forages for hay in widely varying conditions

FS 64 Poorly Drained Waterway Mix
  • Ideally designed for waterway use
  • Will serve as pasture in poorly drained areas
  • Performs best in wet, poorly drained environments
